Arrival to Aswan

Welcome to Aswan – the city bursting at seems with fascinating atmosphere, the city of Agatha Christie and the old colonial days.

Our representative will meet you at Aswan Airport and escort you to the hotel to help you with the check-in and provide you with all the necessary information for the start of your holiday.
After a short rest you will begin at the Island of Philae where Goddess Isis spent her days protecting the heart of her beloved Osiris.
The “road” from the temple will lead us to a more modern time towards the High Dam – an impressive man-made creation that changed the course of life around the river Nile forever.
After lunch we will take a felucca, the traditional Egyptian vessel, to sail around the Elephantine Island with its many Nubian Villages and end the day drinking tea and watching the sunset from the terrace at the Old Cataract Hotel where Agatha Christie spent her days writing her famous novel “Murder on the Nile”.

Design your Day in Aswan

You can spend the morning of your own design by visiting the great temples of Ramsis the Great at Abo Simbel built in the 13th century BC. The two temples are not only the most awe-inspiring ancient monuments in the world but they also represent the modern achievement and dedication to preserving these temples by their removal and reconstruction during the construction of High Dam…
…or take the motor boat to a Nubian Village in Gharib Soheil on the West Bank of Aswan. The colorful village will welcome you with its laid-back atmosphere, the smell of spices and incense in the air and the bigger-than-life smiles on the faces of Nubian children you will meet on your walk through the village. You will visit one of the Nubian families and make a short stop in a Nubian school.
