Muscat - Wahiba

Pick up at 08:00 AM from Muscat and Proceed to visit Amouage factory. Amouage is a nice luxury fragrance house that draws inspiration from its birthplace of the Sultanate of Oman. Enjoy a picnic lunch box / lunch at local restaurant. Drive to Wahiba Sand via Sinaw & Mudaybi where you will see old mud houses with a deserted souq in the center. Continue to Sinaw, passing numerous small enclosures made of palm fronds. Behind the wall is the Sinaw souq. Wahiba Sands is a vast mass of undulating red and white sand dunes rising up to 200 meters and stretching as far as the eye can see. Enjoy an exhilarating round of dune bashing in 4 WDS. The sands are the traditional homes of the nomads and the Bedouins, so it is common to see them moving through the desert with their camels. Stop to visit a Bedouin home, learn their ways and values while enjoying traditional Omani coffee and dates. You are then welcomed to support them by buying the hand made products which they produce and are on sale in the camp (Camel ride optional). The camp’s serene environment and simplicity is a wonderful experience after our daily urban lives in the city. Sleep sheltered by Bedouin style accommodation under a roof of starry skies and enjoy the once in a lifetime experience! Enjoy a traditional Arabic meal, Omani coffee and dates. Overnight at Arabian Oryx Camp, Desert Camp.

Wahiba - Wadi Bani Khalid - Sur

Also please note that light clothing and walking shoes may be more suitable on this trip). A picnic lunch box / lunch at local restaurant en route In Sur visit the fishermen's harbor and witness the fishermen in action. Proceed on to the Dhow building yard. Dhows are traditional Omani wooden fisher boats that are even today, built by hand. Check-in to hotel. After a refreshing shower and dinner proceed on a 15 min walk to the place where the green turtles nest on the calm beaches of Ras Al Jinz. The turtles can be seen late at night or early in the morning.Overnight at Carapace research Centre.

Ras Al Jinz - Muscat

After Breakfast pick up from the hotel to start your journey back to Muscat. Continue via Qalhat where Bibi Miriam’s tomb (photo stop) is located. Proceed to Wadi Shab where beautiful clear pools of the wadi oasis are a serene and rewarding sight in the otherwise barren environment.
